Most of my MP3s won't play anymore. Thats right, some do some don't??
I recentl;y upgraded to XP, am using Winwamp 2.78 some won't play anymore I just get the lights right by the play indicator in the display going gree-red-green-red. also the kbs and khz just flash zeros? wait Ijust found that turning off the repeat keeps the flashing from happening but it jsust sits there showing the title and doing nothing. Any ideas?? TIA Kevinlane |

Are you sure they are MP3 files or some other format like WMA, MPC, and so on?
Make sure you have the FULL version of Winamp http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/...mp278_full.exe [edit: Freaky, I knew I posted the entire sentence] |

Are you ?!?!
Eh? "Are you" what? LOL ![]() Sounds like either these are WMA files, or some other format, not MP3. Or it's a simple case of dead links in the playlist. If you've physically moved or renamed any of the MP3's on your hard drive that the Winamp playlist refers/links to, then these links are now dead. Rem button -> Misc -> Remove all dead files (Alt+Delete) Add button -> File/Dir -> reload songs into playlist. Or rt click problem entries -> Playlist Entry -> type in correct path/filename. Either ^that^ or these playlist entries weren't properly saved to your hard drive and were possibly just internet streams originally, ie. they were just stored in the internet cache (Temporary Internet Files) but are no longer there. |
