yes.. the popping..
a little while ago i posted on the playlist problem with xp. since then i've been reading and trying different stuff to no avail and now.. what the heck i'll just live with that little bug. but now i'm getting a diff bug, and it's one i really can't just live with. popping. with every mp3 i play. this happened after i ran windows update. never happened before. tried wa2update, nothing. tried tweaking buffer levels/block sizes and codec priorities, nothing. defragged all drives, reinstalled sound drivers, read through all posts concerning the matter and tried everything i had the nerve to try. the popping continues to mock me. i hate windows update. i'm beginning to hate xp. please. help.

why did you use windows update????
visit the vendors for driver updates e.g. sound blaster = creative labs = http://www.soundblaster.com also change your plug-in to directsound ctrl+p->output->have crossfasing directsound selected->click close and play your mp3 |
