Would you mind not treating me like a newbee?! Thank you
Than it would be normal/nice to give me a link to a thread/site/newsgroup where my problem is described and it is made clear that the videocard drivers are the problem.Because i am not gonna blame/change my drivers any earlier than that. For your information i do use the latest whql signed drivers which work flawless for me. (yes i mean the 21.83(the 23.11 is not signed)). Lastly i was not whining, i was reporting a bug in WinAMP, how should i have smelled that the GF2 was causing it, when it allways works perfectly? To me WinAMP was much more likely to be the cause. |

would you mind to read the faqs/sticky threads before posting ? if you are behaving like a newbie, don't expect different treatment.
dig your knowledge here: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....threadid=65975 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....threadid=66558 there's NO WAY winamp code could cause a BSOD, your system / drivers / OS / installed 3rd-party winamp plugins are to blame. |

Ok now you start talking.
So it is the os/drivers/my-config combi eh? Then why is it that this BSOD is ONLY appearing in the described situation? So maybe WinAMP is not the cause ,but it cannot be denied that it is part the "situation". I find it arrogant to be so sure that WinAMP cannot be (part of) the cause). Then it would be nice not to make a comment like download the new drivers, which now appears not to be the cause for sure, pffff. And i think if you think my question was in newbee-style, something is wrong (for example i did mention system32.dll). I also thought before i posted:"where should this best be posted". You are right that i am newbee in one aspect: i did not read the faq, i admit. But after having already 2 forumboards where i actively participate, i was not very fond of having to read the faq here again for these 2 posts, i hope you understand.(and yes i did read those two pages you linked me to, nothing new there) |

all the FAQs / stickies say that you should update drivers for every piece of your computer before posting; if you post AND say that you are using old drivers, what else do you expect ?
