Winamp skips the first song in playlist

Sorry if this is a well known issue/bug

I'm working on getting the last couple of bugs out of the Album List(AL) plugin, and a user posted a problem that when a playlist is loaded by double clicking an album in AL (which uses IPC_PLAYFILE to load playlist and not just a single mp3), and Winamp is not given a IPC_STARTPLAY, it finishes the current song and then goes to the second song in the playlist. I have already done a workaround (just keeps the current song as the first song in the loaded playlist), but this is not a favorable solution. I knew it wouldn't work but I tried setting playlist position to -1 via IPC_PLAYLISTPOS-no cigar. I wish it did, so when it auto-increments (to 0) it would start on the first song in the new playlist. This bug/issue is present in versions up to and including 2.78.

btw "keep playing" is a feature implemented in the AL plugin that I think is worth getting to work right.

p.s. the AL plugin site is http://hey.to/albumlist

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Well, I'm not a developer/coder, but I can move this to a more relevant forum, eg. one of the Developers Forums at the bottom of the forums homepage, or to Tech Support_Plugins & Developers?

The bugs forum is for reporting bugs with the default setup of Winamp, not for problems or incompatibilty issues with the development of 3rd-party plugins.
