Winamp Agent

On my pc, at least under winamp 2.76 through 2.78 when ever I let this thing run on startup my pc locks up within 2 min of boot.

This problem occurs for me both under Windows ME and Windows XP
as well as with 2 different sound cards Yamaha YMF-724 and the Infamous Creative Audigy X-gamer "which doesnt lock up for me

".

My Current PC config is.

AMD Athlon 700Mhz T-bird
384 MB PC-133 SDRAM
2-30GB Maxtor ATA 100 Hd
Nvidia TNT 2 32Mb video
Creative Audigy X-gamer
Acerlan Nic
LG DVD Rom
Panasonic SCSI cdr
Windows XP

Note my configuration was Identical with Windows ME
I previously Used the Yamaha YMF-724 but the squeal of death that creative is accused of having was occuring with it every 10 min. Which is Why I bought the creative. :|

Final point:

When winamp Agent is disabled with msconfig, the problem does not occure at all.

Then leave it disabled. It doesn't provide any major advantage, so is a feature you can stand to do without.
