Hey its SuperDrew again,,,, so let me get this i need a board with at least a
- 300-400 mhz processor
- 128-256 MB Ram
...if i don't want any serious issues?

Now let me understand the DNAS VS DSP
I should use DNAS (GUI) and get as much ram as possible as i will only have 640 kbps upstream

Thanx for ur sharpshootin' aftershock... .... with a 400 mhz processor 256MB of ram and 640 kbps upstream, and a bitrate of 96,,,
how many listeners should i set my max to....(6)?

Shirow,, you mentioned a 400 mhz and 256MB RAM,,, this 'lag' problem you had was while you were using the computer for other programs?

A 90MHZ is minimum with 14kbs of ram per listener? now that is amazing,,,, so an opeating system of win98/ virus protection/ firwall/ winamp/ shoucast/ should be all the software i would need on this....

I really appreciate everyones input,,, i just started my first mp3 broadcast a month ago... and now i want it off my PC on to a separate PC...with the lowest cost
