File access time does not change

I'm running 2.78 on Win2k sp2. I've noticed that the file access
time does not change after a file is played from Winamp. Winamp
must be resetting the file accessed time back. Please don't do
this. Its important to know which files in the filesystem have
been accessed recently.

what file type ? do you have any third-party plugins installed ? what you describe definitely doesn't happen on my machine, it's your fault.

How are you testing to see what the last accessed time of the file is?

If you're using the properties from explorer merely selecting this will set the last accessed time to the current time, as the act of looking at information about the file requires the file to be accessed.
