Cannot play audio Cd's
After installing then uninstalling MMJB, and then reinstalling my sound card drivers (SBLive!) and reading a different post in this forum to get the preference to play audio CD's to stay checked, (it now does stay checked) I still cannot play audio cd's. I can play any songs that I may have downloaded, but as far as playing a cd...forget it. It will look like it's playing, the progress bar scrolls across the window, etc. But no sound comes out. I can still play audio cd's in the windows default cd player, but I really want to use the winamp. Please help me from loosing what is left of my hair.

Tried but no luck
Tried your suggestion, but still no luck. Same as before. Oy. And to think before MMJB I was enjoying my Winamp and then made the mistake of installing MMJB to try and help out a friend...
Any additional ideas would be most welcome.

windows media player plays CD's in a very similar way to CDReader....
if you have more than a few CD-roms(like me) then you might need to configure CDReader a tad the original winamp CD plug-in...worked much like the original windows cd player. read the manual that came with cdreader.... it tells you this... (pretty much) that you disabled the original winamp CD plug-in? in c:\program files\winamp\plug-ins rename in_cdda.dll to in_cdda.dll.off(or put it somewhere where winamp won't detect it) |
