I read somewhere in all these boards that if you get that invalid archive error message (and it IS a .wsz extension) it means the database is screwed up... well I first tried to upload my skin feb 16, then feb 26, then just now. Still no dice, unless I missed an opportunity in between... is there a status page, or some place that says "submission database is down, don't even try it"?

remove the space from the file.
make it: toyaviolet.wsz

If the name allready exists in teh database, try :toyaviolet01.wsz

I've been trying to submit my new skin too. It's giving me that message, "An unknown error occured while trying to insert your component into our database." I have the extension right and everything, no spaces in the filename... I've tried like 5 different filenames, too.

Er, if the filename's already taken, does it tell you? Mebbe it just don't like me..

This mysterios error has appeared several times now...
Did you do anything unusual with your skin? Are the BMPs standard in file format and size, color depth? If you have cursors: do they have weird dimensions?
Another tip: don't use long file and skin names.

I think there is some sort of ghost haunting the winamp database.
