Possible Bug In Win2k/XP, cuts off part of song
Hi
I hope this hasnt already been posted anywhere, but I seem to have a problem with Winamp. Occaisionally, (about 1 out of 10 times) when I start to play any of my mp3s, winamp will seem to start playing *all* the songs at about 3-4 seconds into the song. I noticed this once, and thought maybe I had downloaded a bad copy (of the song). But no, it works fine with Media player and sonique (which sucks by the way). Also, quitting winamp and restarting doesnt help, but restarting the comp seems to fix it. Has anyone had something similar? I'm puzzled MY SPECS Winamp 2.78c (with peters update thingo) Windows XP Professional (not sure which service pack, will get back to you) and ALSO happened on 2000 Professional with SP2. Athlon 750 slot A ASUS V7100 Geforce 2 MX (newest drivers) Sound Blaster Live Value(newest drivers) DirectX 8.1 Also, I currently have NO plug-ins not included with the normal install (and after I installed the update) If you need any more info (except for my blood type ), then reply with what you need

Does it happen with ALL output plugins? (ie. normal playback ones)
Try switching between: Winamp2 WaveOut (out_wave.dll) Crossfading DirectSound Output (out_ds.dll) Experimental DirectSound Output (out_ds2.dll) I've heard of this happening before, but that was only with the old buggy Nullsoft DirectSound Output plugin. It even has its own entry in The Official Winamp 2x Bug List. But it certainly should NOT be happening with peter's new replacement plugins. Then again, with SBLive under WinXP/2k, anything's possible
