Are you using Windows Task Scheduler?
If so, just schedule the song of your choice. You can link directly to the mp3 (as long as Winamp is the default player) or you can change the command line to, eg. "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Winamp.exe" "c:\My Music\MP3\Artist\title.mp3" More tips, plus links to autoplay/alarm plugins here: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=38085 |

This was actually moved from a Winamp3 forum I thought, and there is an alarm script by WillFisher, just take a quick look around the stickies on WA3/Skins and Scripting.

Hmm . . . so why was it moved to a WA2 Tech Forum then?
![]() This kinda renders my first reply pretty much useless . . . Note to mods: Move WA3 related topics to WA3 Tech Forum . . . not here! |

A playlist on a 1.44MB floppy disk ?!?!
![]() And where are the actual music files located which this playlist refers to? On the hard drive? Or are they just a few small files on the floppy? (eg. MIDI files). Anyway, as explained in the link I provided above, the command line would be something like: "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Winamp.exe" A:\Playlist.m3u or C:\Progra~1\Winamp\Winamp.exe "A:\Music Playlist.m3u" or "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Winamp.exe" "A:\Music Playlist.m3u" (basically, quotation marks are required if there's any spaces in either/both of the two paths) Just create a new shortcut with the relevant command line and place it in the startup folder @ c:\windows\start menu\programs\startup Naturally you'll need to include the correct paths to Winamp and your floppy drive if they're different to my above examples..... Then again, I'm still not sure if I even understood your question ![]() So, errmm, this floppy is actually a system boot disk then?

Yeah the floppy tells the machine to boot windows off it's hard drive and then tells it to load winamp and playlist etc and yes the mp3's are also on the hard drive.
but thanks for your help i have figured out a slightly different way of doing it. |
