New Skin Style (for me anyway)

I been playing with MSPaint (I no you lot hate it but i think Paint is better then anything else) and i made this..... not to sure about the colours tho... and still titleless.

Btw the red is gonna be transparent, If i can do it

Um. Detail. Detail, people...

Hey, I love MS Paint. I make all my skins in MS Paint, and I can churn out some pretty good stuff.

As I said before, add some detail to that skin. How about some bevel or shading?

I like simple skins tho... don't like big detailed skins to much. and as pixelpusher says....

Ive actually been playing with mspaint a bit recently...dunno if i could stop using psp or photoshop tho...but i really like some of the style of some of the skins made using that..

We're trying to give you constructive criticism though, and you say you're skinning for yourself. Well, constructive criticism is what Skin Love is about.

So if you refuse our criticism, then this is like advertising!

I want opinions not just the word "detail" which from looking round the forum is all you say cleanup.

And you say you use Paint but you said bevel it... right, thats in PSP or PS or anyother program. Or i could spend 20hours (which I don't have) creating it in MSPaint.

What I mean by bevel is just simple bevel, like a two-pixel bevel.

update (if anyone cares), got it working (well kinda)

Clearup, were is there to bevel? its just lines which are joined an the spaces between are coloured or transparent

Dragon, calm down.

Cleanup is just giving advice. He thinks it'd look nice with more detail and a bevel. You're right - you don't have to listen to it but don't attack him. It not our place to consider which pain programyou are using before be we give suggestions. Just because paint is not ideal to make bevels in, we can still suggest that you bevel it.

Personnally, I think the red looks nice and would be good without transparency.

Its getting there.....

Ya know it looks good against that wallpaper...have u thought about maybe making a background like that instead of the trasnparancy??

Just an idea tho..

you might want to consider dropping the trans cuz its always hard to make the rectangular playlist fit in w/ wierd shaped main and eq windows

I agree with blackdog on that one...Its sometimes a hard call as to whether transparency actually makes a skin look better...Ive played around with it a bit, but none of the skins ive made look right with transparancy...this one would look ok....but not being able to do the pl or mb like that will look a bit strange....
