sound goes down after every song in 2.78c

on my computer, everytime winamp starts playing a new song, the sound goes ALL the way down so you can barely hear it. you can turn it back up to normal, but its a pain to do after EVERY fricken song. its been happening for the last month or so, and i'd really like to fix it. i use a soundblaster live! sound card and i just use windows volume control and the one that always turns itself down is the "wave control". how do i fix this? i use win98se.

Control the volume in Winamp via the volume slider in the main WA window.
Currently, you've got it turned all the way down to zero.

what an annoying problem...i just now had it for about ten minutes while i frantically searched the threads...now it's fixed...thanks!
