Adding Files - Folder Options

I found this topic on another thread somewhere in the Forum, but frankly, the question was never really answered, and if it was, I didn't understand it. Until a couple of weeks ago, I was not having this problem. I've downloaded the newest version of winamp since having this problem, in the hopes that it would sort it out... ANYWAY...

When I click on Add File... the directory where all of my music is stored comes up. Only it's always in order by date now, whereas it used to always come up arranged by name. I've heard that this is some kind of windows problem, something about datestamps. But uh, that information doesn't exactly solve my problem. When I open the folder via regular means (going to My Computer, C drive, etc.), the folder is always in the order I put it in, arranged by name. It's only THROUGH winamp that I have this problem. Any one have a suggestion on how to fix this, regardless of whether it's a problem with winamp or my computer?

Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Options > "Sort files on load"

I've tried turning that option on and off, it doesn't make any difference.
