Is it possible to take songs from a music cd and convert them to mp3 directly using winamp 2.79?

Short answer: No.
Long answer: The default install can only encode to WMA. Still, I'm sure there are probably output mp3 plug-ins, just search for them... STILL, it's always better to use a specialized MP3 encoder. Regards |

From a DJEgg post: 'The best freeware rippers are: CDex and EAC'
I use AudioGrabber/LAME which is shareware

oh, I recommend using beoplayer for cd - mp3, using right now as a matter of fact. Not bad, but drawback is that cddb does not always work.
