Crazy?!

To make sure I'm not crazy I wanted post this thread?!
Anyhow, winamp will play cd's fine no prob...but mp3's or anything
from shoutcast (for instance) is a no go. It goes to 1 second with
no sound and then nothing. This hasn't always been the case, it
worked fine for sometime until the last few days? I've been asked if I've installed anything since then, and I haven't. I did log off last night and upon logging back on it worked cool for one song and then
back to the same old 1 second nothing? Am I totally missing something here??? (am running 2.79) Any help would be cool.

Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Plug-ins > Output > Select DirectSound or WaveOut
