a bug!?
i have winamp 2.79..and a celeron 300,378 meg ram,win xp pro....
i have a cd that WONT play on winamp..wierd..the cd's name is "more metal marathon" and track 4 wont play on winamp..i have tried MS mediaplayer..and it works there |

nope
i downloaded it...and no sucess at all...anyone else with this problem ..this is the ONLT record i have that wont work fully with winamp...

i have contact with cddb database and it download the song name and all...but track 4 wont work.....just cant press play...nothing happens at all....and the cd is scratchfree and all..i tried it with my cdreader (philips) and my cd burner (plextor 12/4/32) no difference at all

my soundcard
and i have a soundblaster 128..and i have read the faq ..and i have no file to delete there at all in the plugin dir.....

Sorry, but are you saying Track 4 plays ok with your other players or not?
If not, then it's a problem with the CD. If it does play ok, but just not with Winamp, then did you read the readme.txt which comes with the CDReader plugin? ie. did you follow the instructions to disable the default plugin first? |

hi agin..i have reinstalled winamp and in disabled the default plugin..and then i got track 4 to work with the plugin..jippi!! BUT now my other cd player dont work....winamp cant find the device!...i have tried to use both the WIN32 and the ASPI layer (or what it was called) no luck to use the other cd player!....

If one drive works ok, then this suggests that the ASPI Layer is installed correctly. For the other drive, make sure the drive letter corresponds to the correct ASPI Device in the CDReader config.
You should use the ASPI interface, not Win32. |
