Winamp 2.79, still happenin skippin

I downloaded the updated codecs, which installed.
But it still makes skipping when playing MP3.

I never experienced before using 2.79.
Then, I tested with another players, WMP, Sonique, FreeAMP and so on.
And the conclusion is, that happens in Winamp 2.79 ONLY.

What should I do?
Uninstall 2.79 and reinstall 2.78?

(but I don't wanna use vulnerable software, you know)

i hate to say this....but winamp 2.79 only has very minor changes.

switching back to winamp 2.78c probably won't change a thing..and vice versa

there is a big difference don’t get me wrong I love winamp I use it every day I'm not bitching i’m justsaying there is something weird about the new version. I never had a problem with it until I download the new version and i’m saying all the versions I ever download from Winamp 2.6 and that was a while ago was it not. And believe me I have been switching back and forth to the versions and there is something wrong with 2.79 but that’s ok I still love winamp

p.s i know its not my computer because i have a 1.3GHz AMD Athlon T-Bird, 256 PC2100 DDR Memory, 60 Gig Hard drive 16 CD-RW Drive Hercules Game Theater, Microsoft Xp Professional, 64MB Nvidia GeForce2 MX400 Graphics Card

Although I can't reproduce the problem, if you really want to help, then you could try narrowing it down by copying the input & output plugins from v2.78 to v2.79 one at a time, ie. start with in_mp3.dll and see if the problem persists (that's assuming the skipping is just with MP3 files, or maybe it's with WMA, WAV, MIDI, MOD, AudioCD, one of, all of?)
