publishing 'how to' question?

just a simple comment/question.

i'm not sure if my skin was published.

i've read that often new users upload the same skin multiple times because they don't appear on the website. now, i know that actually having a skin published can take up to six weeks - i think it was - so i'm not worried about that. what i am worried about is the lack of instruction on the publishing page. i had to search the forums for quite a bit to find even that little tidbit of info.

i'm not actually sure my skin even uploaded!!

and there is no way for me to tell until that six weeks is up and it has either poped up on the site or not.

when i clicked the publish button the first time the next page defaulted and said "DNS server Error" so i tried it again after closing all my IE windows. it just refreshed the publishing page.

there was no "your skin has been uploaded and is waiting for review" or anything. no warning of an error in one of the fields. absolutely nothing.

why is that?

i tried it a few extra times whith some variations of data, i even reset my BOX once. it was still the same outcome.

is this normal?
