Hi all,
I have an NSIS install package that registers a couple of icons and a font. Problem is, it appears that I need to restart explorer to get windows to start using the icons and font. My question: Is there any command that I can run to tell explorer to reload it's font and icon lists without restarting it? Thanks, Bryan |

can't you simply close and re-open the explorer? there were posts about how to close running programs in this forums, just check them.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm talking about the main explorer process that controls the desktop. Killing this will cause the start bar and everything to disappear.

Hi!
I don't quite understand the icons problem. How can you register icons? Aren't they just regular files? If you can please more specific I can try to help... <edit> I am not quite sure that this is what you are looking for but have a look at this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...angenotify.asp </edit> About the fonts question, here is a post you might find useful: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....threadid=79586 KiCHiK |
