Spyware?
I have heard that upon downloading the Dancing Valentine Chick (or whatever) installs spyware into your computer. I havn't downloaded it, but if this rumor is true, be cautious.(Is this the correct forum section for this? Sorry if I am mistaken. )~BubbleWrapBitch |

This forum is about AVS, a specific plug-in. I've also read that WildTangents's visualisers install spyware though, and their software behaves oddly: when uninstalling it, several components remain. So it's probably true.
Not that any of their visualisations are even remotely interesting... the only people who want to see some silicone-enhanced polygon babe repeating the same dance moves over and over are hormone filled teens with nothing better to do :P. |

If you want to check if spyware is installed on your machine, download and run Ad Aware. It will tell you (a) if there is spyware on your machine, (b)where it is installed and (c) how to remove it.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. Thankfully I havn't had the desire to watch 3D women shake their pixelated bodies,
but my guy friend wanted to download it, and I told him that I heard about the spyware. Thank you for the link to Ad Aware, ethan. And yes, that's so true UnConeD. *waves* Thanks again.~BubbleWrapBitch |
