DirectSound Output problem

How come I don't have DirectSound Output plug-in preferences for my Winamp?
How do I know if my DirectSound driver is installed?

well u should have the option of selecting it from ur output menu, if not then its not installed...try reinstalling it

DirectSound comes with Windows. The plugin for directsound for winamp doesn't come with Winamp by default. I think you need the wa2update file. So if haven't gotten it, that's the problem. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

You probably deleted it by accident without even knowing it.
