Winamp played the playlist in wrong sequence

I just loaded winamp 2.79. When I used a playlist, it jumped from one song to another in a random manner, i.e. from song 1 to song 10, then to song 4, etc. This does not happen in winamp 2.77 which is my previous release.

How do I correct this?

Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Options > "Sort files on load"

Ahem . . . turn off the "Shuffle" button in the main window
(With main Winamp window active, hotkey = S)
