Downloading music

Just curious, what is a good app to use to download tunes? I have been using Kazaa, but am wondering if there is anything else that is better out there? Thanx.

That's pretty funny that you would think so differently about these two because they are basically the same program and use the same servers.

spyware is used by companies to record every thing u do online so that they can bring u advertisements oriented that way--for instance if u looked at porn day and night theyd prob give ur address to porn companies and u get those stupid webcam things

www.kazaalite.tk

clean versions of audiogalaxy, grokster, imesh and limewire can be found here: www.cleanclients.tk

i think clean limewire is currently down again, try www.freewirep2p.com also some clean clients will put a fake cydoor .dll file, it's harmless. some need the file to run. audiogalaxy's clean version still of course has those filters.

i suggest you try some decentralized networks like blubster (www.blubster.com) it's faster than kazaa/grokster and winmx for mp3s. however it's mp3 only.

gnucleus, so advanced it doesn't have a stop button for searches
oh it can be annoying...

Direct connect DOES NOT contain spyware.

I use DC for movies.

Winmx for music.

ICQ for sharing with friends.

I have 56k and the site is fast. The kazaalite link didnt work so i searched for it in iMesh and got it!

Its alot better as ALL of the previous uneeded crap (spyware / adware / shopping buttons etc) have all been squeezed out!

All ive got to find now is iMesh lite (if it exists!) If it does, im a happy man!

WinMX is the best of all. At least I'm not wasting my time on Audiogalaxy.com searching for a song that I can't find. Or using the crappy Morpheus PE. Kazza has spyware, and looks just like Morpheus.

ow...

prolly I'm old fashioned with not using these bandwidth absorbing useless filesharing appz that are crap.

But has any of you ever heard of this sweet little nice not bandwidth killing protocol called ftp...

Well it's neat and fast and you can find anything on it. you just have to know where to look.

Hey Weed!

I use ftp and think it is wonderful. I have a couple of ftp sites that I have found. Do you have a list you can share? Or a suggestion as to where I can find some free ftp sites?

there must be an international conference held to fix a strategy for all p2p users. everyday a new software pops up and thus the number of songs shared is diffused and distributed which means less found results for everybody. there should be a campaign to orient users to one major application so the earth's library of music get consolidated and ready to share 4 everyone

(to me imesh and audiogalaxy are fine..I cud find some rare tunes on them..)

How about this then: I installed Morpheus and I was downloading something when someone reccomended me to use KaZaA. I downloaded it and opened it whilst Morpheus was still running. When I clicked on the Morpheus Icon it just maximised the Morpheus window.
Why you ask? Cos KaZaA is just an updated version of Morpheus.
