Winamp freezing on load

It's really weird. Winamp has been running fine for a couple months now, then the other day it just froze on load. the titlebar of winamp showed up, then it would just freeze.

I tried reinstalling a couple times, and an update I saw on another forum post, but winamp keeps freaking out. Anyone know what my probblem could be?

One other thing I'm not sure is mentioned in the above links, is to change the "Read Titles on" setting to "load" in Prefs -> Options. There seems to be a bug with the "on: display" setting ?!?!
