Should this be happening?

My tongue is peeling.

There is a lot of skin flapping about off my tongue. Large chunks are being swallowed at an alarming rate. Is this natural?

That doesn't sound good. You should see a doctor or something.

I think I had the same problem years ago. I had pieces of white skin peeling away and I think it was from drinking too much alcohol and being dehydrated, not sure though.

No, that's very unnatural. Does it sting or hurt or anything? Maybe it's dehydration or something *shrugs*... but yeah, I'd get it checked out.

Bilbo make sure you're brushing your tongue regularily if that doesn't help see your doctor immediately.

I think it has cleared up now, as there is nothing much there this morning. Still, the bloody muscle is a bit raw now.

Dude, that is one of the nastiest things i've heard of and i've of lots. How long has it been going on? How much tongue have you lost? Has it ever happened before? Get it checked out! I could imagine all sorts of things it could possibly be. It may look better now but depending on what it is it could go systemic even though it looks like it's clearing up.

If you find out what it is let me know...
