I miss RM, how much does it cost for a new cpu? Why not get a donated computer that no one wants to use, for RM? Do an UPS delivery of the compuer.

if all he needs is a CPU, i may be able to help. i believe he had a compaq, i just need to know if its AMD or Intel. i have a friend i could tap, or he knows a website i could get a good deal off of. oh and hue, check PM's.

Had no idea that was why he hadn't been around, we certainly need to get him back on line as soon as possible.

I have the idea he was running a Celeron, so if the socket and MoBo are still O.K. that may be all he needs.

Count on me for a few quid if any one knows how to get money across the Atlantic cheaply.

Nem, I got the chip info from a couple of threads in Search the Forums.

If you put in 'celeron' and 'radioactive man' and look for the threads
about lurking and suckiest computer.

If the chip is that cheap it makes me think there is more to it, or he would be up again by now. Maybe he can't get hold of one, most places won't have something that slow anymore.

talked to my buddy today. he's got 300mhz and 400mhz celerons (not the fastest, but they work for web browsing), but he's not sure if the 400 works. he'll let me know tomorrow. theres a good chance i could have it out by the end of the week, barring any shit from UPS.
