Saving the *File Open Window's* Position in Windows 2000

Hi all,

I'm NOt sure if Windows 2000 is OFFICALLY supported with Winamp 2.x. But I was wondering is this feature MISSING or a bug;~

When we open the Winamp File open window, it opens on top of Winamp, But when I drag it , to the center of the screen, or anywhere. It's **Position** IS NOT saved. However in Win9x systems the fle open window's **position** is saved ANYWHERE on the screen ???

I tested this on Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 2 and Windows 2000 Server, Service Pack 2.

So what is it, a bug, or Windows 2000 incompatibility ???

It is probably just a windows thing.

Are you sure it doesn't happen in 9.x / ME / XP?

Umm..NO! The open file dialog box opens the same place every time. Anyway, Who cares? I mean really? If your goona move the dialog box anyway, it's going to be moved again. So let it open up in the standatd position.

It's a "feature" on Win2k only. You should feel special.

I'm dual booting with Windows ME and Windows 2000 Server. Yeah, I'm sure. No idea about Windows XP Home or Professional. Eyecandy doesn't interest me

WinXP has basically NT code, so the shell should be slightly different. NOT sure, though. I'm NO developer.

I just want the window position to be saved for that particular session. Heck, no point in closing Winamp, but I do give my system some rest
