Winamp, Samba, and Windows2000 = lockup

Trying to open a file from a Samba share under Windows2000 causes Winamp to lockup. Winamp under Win98SE and WinME work fine. As does accessing shares sitting on other Windows machines. It seems to be the combination of Win2K, Winamp (last three or so versions have been tried), and Samba (2.2). Other mp3 players under Windows2000 work just fine, like QuintessentialCD and XMPlay, so it doesn't seem to be strictly a Win2K problem.

Using 2.80? Known Bug. Stick with 2.79 untill a fixed version of 280 comes out.

Ok, with 2.79 the file will eventually play, however Winamp will freeze for a good minute before it starts.
