Minibrowser evil...

Somehow or another my Minibrowser now defaults to a website for a skinning program. I've deleted the .xml that I found in Winamp's folder and that solved the problem for a little while...then I deleted list.txt from the Winamp folder because I noticed it referenced the same site. This did noting...how can I make Winamp stop defaulting to this site?

Are you using Winamp2?

Sounds like a mb.ini file in the .wsz archive, open the .wsz up and remove that file from the archive, resave and all should be ok.

You may need to change the .wsz file to a .zip file first in order for you archive software to open it.

If it's WA3, then the url is coded somewhere in the minibrowser-normal.xml file

Wait a minute, were you not asking about MikroAMP plug in the other day?

If you've installed that, it changes the default browser page to Mikes site for skinmaster.

You can change that by right clicking on the MikroAMP window, clicking configure, and unchecking the "allow minibrowser to go to skinmaster" option

I think its probably mikroAMP causing it. If its going to http://www.skinmaster.co.uk/mikroamp/winampb.html then thats what it is.

That may very well have been it. It was going to some skinmaster.co.uk thing. Thanks for the help, hopefully that'll clear it up!

Then it was definatley MikroAMP, it's THEMike's shameless self publicity, right click, config and uncheck the option I mentioned above, that only works in the latest version of MikroAMP, earlier versions don't support that check/uncheck option , I should know, I suggested it to him
