secure jukebox over tcp/ip in a youth centre

Hey. I have read through the web site and the forums an would like to as a question on plugins. I have found things that are close but not really what i need

Im running a youth centre and we have been trying to get hold of a mp3 server App which will work as a server from one computer and a webpage interface from another so I’m not sure if this software will do it or if any one knows of a software where we I can get it.

Let me explain a bit more.

What I have.
1x P3 550 128mb ram win xp
2x p2 266 128mb ram win xp
Home network kit

What I need
I need to hold all of the clubs cd’s on a computer in mp3 form as the cd’s get to damaged with the kids putting them into the player and leaving them on the side after playing.

So I decided to make an mp3 server on one computer and two remote computers which will be the interface for the server.

I am currently using the wwwinamp software at the moment and it is great but not very graphical or secure.

1. So what I need is a program that will work on the server to play the mp3’s through (Winamp)
2. A program that will find all of the mp3’s on the drives and the list can be accessed through a port.
3. the ability to have multiple computers to add songs to the same play list on the server
4. the ability to have a secure html page. What I mean by this is that on the remote computers must be a display that the kids cant close and that the right mouse button is disabled. The only way to close the screen would be to enter a password.
5. a full screen which covers both tool bars so the kids cant access these.
6. it would also be nice to have the ability have an on screen keyboard for searching, so all I would need by the monitor is a trackball mouse as the keyboard and computer would be locked away.

What I don’t need is a streaming mp3 player as the server is connected to the stereo.

The computer would be off line all the time but I would convert the mp3’s on another computer at home then transfer them across.

I know this is a big request but I have been trying for a long time for this type of software.

I think that your software looks cool but im not to sure if it will do all what I have asked for.

Many thanks

Fozzy

password protect any writing ability to the server (without admin access)

make very limeted accounts in windows XP
so the kids can access the computers(without fucking up the machines)

you should be able to disable everything in XP (pretty much)
it shouldn't matter if they close winamp.. this means the music will stop.

you can also protect the power buttons on an ATX case from use in ctrl panel/power options

then just run a jukebox plug-in or different front end for winamp and allow viewing and reading of the mp3's off the server

their is no program like the one that you described that I know of
