:( Need Major Help: Beginner

Ok, well I submitted one skin to Winamp and got bad staff ratings on it

which I knew would happen, I just wanted to test it and see. If you guys wanna see if you go to the skins page, search for " 98 Degrees " and its the last skin, the cyan color blue type one. To me its good for being a beginner but I came to ask if you guys would be able to recommend me anywhere. I took a look at some of the skins made in the 3D catagory and they were just awesome.

And I have no clue what kind of programs to use or download to be able to do that. So if you guys could help me out with that your info would be greatly appreciated to me. Thanks in advanced for those of you who are willing to!

you're not allowed to use emoticon in your subject line, so don't let it happen again. but other than that, ya your skin does really suck! i can see why it got bad reviews, no offence of course. i'm an expert skin builder, email me at howard_hampton-mpp@ontla.ola.org for more info and ways that i could and will help you out.

It doesnt help that you had an attitude towards me with it. There's a difference between constructive criticism and just being rude with it. Saying " it sucks " will only make me want to not make one. I know its not a good skin, so give me a break, I said I was a beginner and if Im askin for help doesnt that tell you something? If you're gonna be rude with what you say, I'd rather you not reply to it. Thanks.

It's a skinner skin but it looks ok. If you take a look around here I'm sure you'll find a few pointers.

Get yourself Photoshop and a LOT of free time and effort if you want to make cool skins. A lot of people here make simply amazing skins but with a bit of practice, talent and patientce You'll be able to make pretty good skins. Loose the skinner program though, they don't go down too well around here.

Thanks, Phily, I'll check that out. And yeah I know it takes a lot of time and patience, and its not that I havent been looking for help, I just have in the wrong places. And to a post earlier posted Yeah sorry about puttin this thread hear, it wasnt until after I submitted it that I found the skin forum...sorry about that too.

Don't worry, Xerox2k2. If you keep on creating skins and use the right software, I'm sure you can churn out good ones after some practice and learning techniques from other skinners. Good luck!

Thanks sscw46! I know its gonna take a long time but hopefully I'll be able to make some of mine at least half as good as some of the ones I've seen. That alone will take time too but thank you and to the rest of you who are replying and who've replied to help me out!
