Newbies at any forum get a load of shit for spam, whether it's real or perceived. Here included. Just forget it and move on.

PS: A lot of Sonique users come here as well, and a thread title like this could start another flame war none of us want.

This is a good point. If you want people to read your Riddle of the Week, just make a new thread for it

You have read to the bottom of this, right? It's quite important.

As far as "spam" goes, you have to look at it from their point of view. If somebody comes to their forums with no intention of becoming an active member their, and starts off by promoting any sort of site, it will be ragarded as spam. If you were an active member their first, then it would probably be tolerated. Thanks for making the effort though.

He's cleared it up a little and I've posted a link to the place myself. Not in a very enticing way, but you may get a new member if you're lucky.

Sweetas,

This was exactly my contention n_ick2000, and the point I made in response to the questioning of our actions. It is all a moot point now as both sides have had their say.

This thread raises an interesting point about product loyalty. Personally I've never used Sonique so I don't have an opinion on it either way. I use Winamp because it was suggested to me by a friend, because it worked, because when I needed help with it the folks at this forum were friendly, and because it had a lot of features that I preferred over WMP and Real (the two media players that were on my comp when I got it). I would assume from what little I know that users of Sonique are similar to users of Winamp; they have a computer, they love music, they trade .mp3s, etc. The whole Sonique vs Winamp thing seems kinda silly to me when its taken too seriously.

Product loyalty is the new nationalism.

I'm glad to see that this issue was resolved quickly in a peaceful manner. Sorry if my post was kinda off-topic.

I was a Sonique user that jumped over to Winamp......that was a long, long time ago.......

I am just a normal person sitting on the bench and reading newspaper and having a cup of coffee. Why can't people see that?

I wasn't referring to you Twilightseer. I know from your posts elsewhere that you usually post intelligently and thoughtfully, so I knew that you were joking. As a matter of fact I wasn't referring to anything in this thread specifically, but that it reminded me of some of the flame wars, large and small, that have ensued in the past. I agree with what WolfieD said in this thread.
