Kazza and Morpheus going down?

Looks like Kazza is on the verge of going down.
And Morpheus may follow.
They've run out of money fighting lawsuits.

If they do go down, then we will see some more software soon. The New Morpheus edition uses Gnutella to search for files for example, and as far as I know, you cannot bring that down.

No Gnucleus is better than Morpheus, because Gnucleus is the Original. Morpheus is just a bad clone of Gnucleus with a lot of Bugs.

if it goes, it goes
my isp just instituted a bandwidth cap, so if i go above 5 gigabytes downloading or uploading in a month, i have to pay exorbitant amounts of money
so no more movie downloading for me, and that's really the only reason i used it

That sucks Huehuetengo. I've just downloaded 9 CD .iso files for various Linux Distros just before I go home and have no cable

I never used the 'shit' ( ) file sharing progs. Only Napster, which royally fux0red my Win95, back in 1999. After that, just Audiogalaxy on rare occasions. I got my ~500 MP3's off the college network. 10MB/second? Now THAT is file sharing...

Meh, I have an aversion to anything with spyware. I like SongSpy simply cause it's lean and clean. It has a few bugs, but the bitrates are ludicrous so I love it. How clean is this Gnucleus? I'm always looking for something new to fall back on.

Kazaa lite

You guys ever heard of Kazaa lite?
Anyways it's kazaa without all the nasty spyware.
Although if you have already downloaded and installed the original kazaa the lite kazaa wont get rid of your spyware. You gotta start fresh with kazaa lite if you dont want the spyware.

So if you dont have kazaa already and you want it without the spyware take a visit to kazaalite.com

I hope its useful to you

Kazaalite IS kazaa, it's just a hacked up executable that has been repackaged without all the crap. It's EXACTLY the same functionality-wise as kazaa....the only difference would be that whenever kazaa releases a new version (1.5.1 to 1.6, for instance) it takes a bit of time before kazaalite is updated to match.

-=Gonzotek=-

I was away for a while.
But I'm feeling much better now.

KaZaA Lite is great. As for it making your system unstable, i have it running 99% of the time (though not always downloading) and its fine. Morpheus used to make my system unstable when switching screen resolutions under xp.

simple solution

I just do NOT buy any more music CD's. BREAK the RIAA! Bring them to their knees!

Alanis Morrisette, for example, says he hates fame. Make her "unfamous!"

I buy music for bands I want to support, and for hard to find stuff that's not out there in the world of filesharing. I think that it will be necessary for the music industry to severely restructure, because it's not a good thing for music when hundreds of respected artists start saying that this isn't an industry they want to be in anymore. To be honest, I think they screwed the whole thing from the get go by making it an "industry."

Adaware nice, but it cant do all your work = /

Winamprocker, adaware does not get rid of all the spyware in kazaa, you can't use it and believe all the spyware is gone. Adaware just locates the spyware and hopefully gets rid of the most it can.

In most situations adaware does not get rid of 100% of the spyware = /
Instead of using adaware, dont make the mistake of downlaoding kazaa, check up on everything you download.
Download.com is a very reliable source. Kazaa was thier most popular download, but they still took it off thier server because of its spyware.

yeah, too right.

If that BDE projector that's installed is capable of being a dstributed processing and spying network, as is claimed, then it's a gross infringement of the user's rights.

It probably does say you consent for all that in the terms of agreement, but most of them are worded in such a complicated manner that many people need a BA in law or english to be able to comprehend them at all.

Just use WinMX. The new version 3.1 has just about everything anyone would want in a file sharing program anyways.
