Ram
Ok I just got this computer off my friend for $300. Its pretty crappy but I know I can salvage some parts out of it. Is there any way I can tell what type of RAM is in this without taking it apart?

well fist find out if its DDR or SDRAM.
If its an old mobo it will be SDRAM. If its new then its probably DDR. SDRAM comes in two tpyes, pc 100 and pc 133. make sure you check which version you have

It could be EDO ram, although that is a few years old now.

![]() I think you will find pc 133 will work on your pc too. its faster than 100 but also can make your notherboard not cope with the RAM so stick with pc100 and ask for that in the shops too as pc 133 is becoming the common RAM stick now
