ok.. it seems that there are no new skins showing up in new skins...

undercover brother and the rush skin.. come on. they been there is seems forever.

i would honestly at this point love to even see some skinner crap making the rounds up there just to get things moving...

i know reviewing and releasing skins isnt a full time job but can we even manage 1 new one a day..

if not.. is there anywhere else to post skins where they dont sit in a closet for weeks?

what are you talking about? the reviewers work hard, at least atmo works a lot on reviewing. There are a lot of submitions... wait 4- 6 weeks and it should get published. Check ur publisher CP instead of the new skins section.

i dont get why peole complain, everythign about winamp is FREE so where does the room to complain even come from? your skin (or new skins) will eventualy be put up, in fact 2 new skins have just gone into the featured skins section, slthough they arent really new, ive have poison tree for a while, its to dark, but thats besides the point, they have other things to do, if you want new skins all the time go here...

man am i tired of people.. no offense... saying that because something is free, it's ok for it to suck.

not saying winamp.com sucks but ummm....

not posting skins to new skins on a regular basis is pretty lame.
thats just my opinion of course.. but i remember it wasnt long ago when in like 2 days there was about 100 skins that flooded the newskin section... which was also lame..

feast or famine. whats the point... just toss the skins into general population and let that be that.

i say remove new skins if you arent going to use the section.

[rant]I'm tired of people coming in here and complaining about the amount of time it takes to review skins. Why don't you go create your own skins site, then attempt to sort through thousands of skins each day, give them all ratings and reviews, pick out all of the generated ones and send them to one place, pick out the ones with objectionable content and delete them (not just blatantly there, this includes fully checking the skin, easter eggs, etc..), pick out the ones that have corporate logos etc. that are not aloud, and keep the process flowing smoothly. Keep in mind that this is free, therefore they are not being paid to do this, Which also means it is not a full-time thing. Reviewers have lives too. They cannot just "toss the skins into general population and let that be that" because of the above things such as onjectionable content and logos and such. So just quit whining or leave.[/rant]

I personally think the reviewers are doing a great job considering, and they should be applauded[claps]

Back to the original topic, you asked if theres a way to get your skins published without the wait, well there are several options. Deviantart and 1001 winampskins seem to be the most popular amongst the skinners. Devart offers real time publish (your skin is available for download as soon as you upload it), and you get a page featuring all your work. However if you want big download numbers its not the best. 1001 offers real time publish once your first skin has been reviewed and checked out. Usually about a weeks wait. Then its like deviantart, just upload and its published. Better download numbers than deviantart and you can sort the skins by rating, date etc.

Theres a few other sites that publish skins. Try a google search with "winamp skin submit" and you'll find most of em.

As for the newest skins section, well thats primarily made up of skinner.exe and sponsored skins. The skinner skins are published before the good stuff as they only recieve a basic comment.
