Looking for the app used to make the very first skins.

I am trying to find the name or link to the software that was first used to pull the graphics from WinAmp and then allow us to build our own WinAmp with new graphics.
Not just skin it but remake the graphics into winamp.
I believe the info was posted on the home page years ago.
It was before WinAmp really supported skins as they are today.
At least it seems like years. LOL
This app works on other stuff besides winamp also.

If any one knows please let me know.
Thank you my friends.

Yes I guess you could be right.

I read that if I was not sure where to make a post this was the place.
If a mod wishes to move this please do.

The reason I posted it here was because I need this for another app not just winamp.
Winamp no longer needs this app to skin it.
Anyway I have another app I need to work on.

Thanks for the weclcome and the reply my friend.
Have a good night.

Not really sure what youre looking for here.

Exactly!
That is when I first got winamp and skined it.
Before version 2 was even out.
Way the heck back.

I thought at one time it was posted info on the home page.
I may still have the app some where.
But I have so much stuff and without knowing the name I will never find it.

But you are right.
Back when we had to hack the graphics out and then replace the new ones.
Those were the days.

Anyway thanks for the help my friends.

I think Wally used something similar to skin winamp.

Hmmm

I can not get it to show any BMP or JPG files.
All I get is version and icon trees.

I am thinking the new winamp and other software use a new way to hold graphics.

Well it works for me. Im not gonna give a blow by blow description of how to do it, as i dont want someone to try it and stuff up their copy only to say 'it ruined my version of winamp because you said it would work' or similar....

With stuff like that, its backup first, then trial and error. It will show bitmap info if the file youre opening has bitmaps included in the file.

OK

It does work but....
I do not see that it works on the NEW WinAmp 3.
I can open other apps and I see the BMP and JPEGs or what ever.

What I ment was that on some of the newsest app I think it will not work completly.
No need for a play by play.
I understand how it works.
I could do as you say with the older winamps or whatever.

On some of my other apps it only shows icon and version info.
On other apps I get the full list of graphics.

Thank you by the way for the link.
I will get some use out of it I am sure.

Thanks again my friend.

It wont work with winamp3 as it doesnt have any bitmaps in the executable file.

Oh yes I forgot that.

I am working on an exe file that does have the graphics in it but I can not figure out what they are yet.
Could be JPEGs.
I am not sure ResHack can see those.
I also have ResHunter.
I do not think it see JPGs either.

I will keep looking.
But this is almost exactly what I was looking for.

If I figure it out I will post it.

Thanks again friend.
