Well, I have been told that I have been very rude to n00bs that come here for advice. I was told that I am scaring them off. And now, I am here to apologize. I'm sorry to all the newbies who come here looking for a helping hand and find a loud mouth making fun of them or 'scare' them away. I'm sorry to the members here who I have offended before. And I'm sorry to all the Moderators who had to put up with me. I take full responsibility for it. I congratulate you and my respect for you has just risen tremendously just for you making the effort to correct that which may be a problem

I had never noticed behavior as such from you but have witnessed it firsthand from many others. Without n00bs, we are limited in what the forums are:

No new interesting Winamp related questions to ponder
No new topics to discuss besides recent events
Same old boring attempts at humor, especially from yours truly
Lack of fresh culture that we can all learn from

Good for you, GoldenSphinx. There was quite a bit of flaming going on for a few days but it seems to have died down now. You certainly weren't the only one.

As for when a new person becomes disruptive a few folks, mods or otherwise, try to push them in the right direction, firmly but without flaming. Usually they either get on board with the etiquette, or they end up leaving or being banned.
