Javascript Error Detecting Browser
Is there any particular browser that gives an error message when reading a faulty Javascript? I have Netscape, MSN, and IE but they dont give errors or give the line of error. I need a browser like this quickly.

Check out this page on...
Microsoft Script Debugger To enable script debugging in IE, Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced (tab) Look for the section titled... Browsing There should be a check box titled... Disable Script debugging and is should be checked (default). Uncheck that bugger. FYI, I'm using IE 5.50.4807.2300 |

It gets annoying though, because very few people on the internet can properly code javascript, so you keeping getting a message telling you how thickheaded and incompetent the webmaster is. So, in short, remember to turn it off after you are done testing

And... make sure you test it with IE5, IE6 and Mozilla.. because, well, most people use IE6, but there are still a lot with IE5 (since I'm on XP, I can't test with IE4 on this computer.. I test the IE5 at my dad's business).. and I test Mozilla on this computer too.. I mean.. dang... it's hard to get it working properly for all browsers.. :P
Check http://developer.netscape.com/docs/m...avascript.html for the best javascript guide and reference. Wanna see my Winamp 3?

Browsers that do warn of errors, and the line the error appeared on:
IE Netscape However you need the right settings turned on for each browser, so this may be why you did not see it. Microsoft has a program that does this, but it is only installed with MS Visual Studio (4 or 5 and higher). However it is quite technical and is mainly used for programmers (the suite, that is), so unless you want to obtain this multi-cd programmer suite, stick with the browser, they are more than capable. No, I'm not worried about what the end-user uses, because this is just for me...g3cko, I just needed to know which one has an error detecting feature to help me evaluate my JavaScripts. Thanks everyone,
.
