Seemed like the best spot to post this (Lame 3.92 & EncSpot question)
I'm using LAME with these switches:
-mj -d -b 32 -B 320 --freeformat --lowpass 20 --vbr-mtrh --athtype 3 -Z -X0 --short --nspsytune -p -V 0 -p -q 0 but EncSpot shows these results: http://sarreq.l33t.ca/mp3Image1.jpg http://sarreq.l33t.ca/mp3Image2.jpg noticably, it doesn't seem to be registering any freeformat blocks, and a severe lack of short blocks, but playing the same file back in winamp (average bitrate display off) does show freeformat blocks. does anyone know if lame actually uses those swithes properly, or if encspot actually reads the files right? and is there any other program like encspot out there that definitely works properly? |

I suggest you ask the question at http://r3mix.net (the site is down at the moment) or www.hydrogenaudio.org
