Disposable Camera Film

I have this project for my camp I have to do with developing film, but all I have is a disposable camera. Does anyone here know how to get the film out w/o messing it up?

Go into a room without any lights. Then be careful not to trip. Hit the camera with a hammer and poof! there you have your roll of film. But why couldnt you just but a roll of film?

I have an Advantix camera, which can't be developed normally, so I got a disposible one w/35mm. I use the Advantix for everday photos.

Disposables are the bane of my existence, and I put a pox on whoever invented them...

Undeveloped camara film (especially color) is extremely sensitive. A red light will not work. Note that a disposable camera is exactly the same thing as a standard camera, except everything is screwed in. Familiarize your self with the screws. Very, very, very well. If you have access to a photo lab, this should be somewhat easier. If you don't, you are in a bind. See if you can acquire a film bag. If you can't, get some very thick, black bags (felt works nice). Double layer the bags, and unscrew the camera. Insert film on a developing reel. Develop.

Kodak

And we thanked you for all the hard earned cash you spent on those POS's
Trust me! They were just as hard to assemble

Well, Kodak can suck da Kok

Thankfully, I've never wasted money on those junkboxes. I've just had to deal with flustered family members who come to me for help after some problem or another arises.

Not as bad as being blinded by the flash. My friend took apart one of the disposable cameras, and figured out how to trigger the flash. So he was blinding everyone that walked in the room, and the teacher. Until the teacher took it away from him.

Make sure you have something to put the film in, like rm' said. Disposables don't re-roll the film, so it'll be completely exposed, which is, of course, why you need to be in a completely dark room.

Im not even certain if you can reroll the film manually. I'm not sure if there's a real spool inside, or if it's some proprietary crap.

Disposables are cool.
