Computer Problem

Dang it. I was trying to customize my icons for the folder through My computer > tools menu > folder options > file types tab and changing the icons. I realized that it wouldn't work, so I clicked cancel. Now whenever I double click a folder, it lanches the Search thing. It looks like the default folder action changed from "open" to "search". My OS is WinXP. Anyone know how fix the default folder action, please help.

[edit]I don't know what i did, but I fixed it somehow. I don't know what to do with this thread now. Post large pics of dinosaurs if you want. j/k

Maybe this thread can be of some use. Can anyone tell me how to change folder icons for all folders in WinXP?

I don't think that is what I am looking for. I want to change the default folder icon in Windows XP.

um xp has it very simplified:

right click a folder, goto properties then to customize. ta-da!

hmm well i thought it would reset all of them, guess it's still the registry edit.

and that is about the only way I could get it to work for one folder. But I really don't want to do that for the thousands of folders on my hard drive. There has to be a way to change the default folder icon. I did the registry thing, but it still doesn't help. Any help is useful.
