Unhappy is this a bug?

yesterday, i made a primitive skin and everything worked well.
this morning i started up my comp and loaded my skin in winamp 3 but it was completely invisible. i couldn't see winamp.
i allready have had this before with another simple skin of me (it was only a background).
does anyone know more about this?

it doesn't work yet.

this is very frustrating, i'm trying to make new skins now, with a simple background only, but it makes winamp completely invisble.

Dunno if this will help, but try renaming the skin in the /skins directory and then loading the renamed version. It works for me with some skin crashes.

Incidentally if you want to do this automatically (and you're using windows 2000/XP) you can put this into a batch file:

code:

ren skinname.wal skinname_%RANDOM%.wal

which will rename the file named skinname.wal to a file called skinname_xxxxx.wal, where xxxxx is a random number between 1 and 32768. If you use PKZIPC or some other command line zipping utility, you can package everything up and create a uniquely named wal file with a single click. (OK then, a double click. =)
