yesterday, i made a primitive skin and everything worked well.
this morning i started up my comp and loaded my skin in winamp 3 but it was completely invisible. i couldn't see winamp. i allready have had this before with another simple skin of me (it was only a background). does anyone know more about this? greetz,lenx |

try deleting studio.xnf
if it didn't work, then check the skin. Shoot me again I ain't dead YET |

it doesn't work yet.
this is very frustrating, i'm trying to make new skins now, with a simple background only, but it makes winamp completely invisble. |

Dunno if this will help, but try renaming the skin in the /skins directory and then loading the renamed version. It works for me with some skin crashes.
Incidentally if you want to do this automatically (and you're using windows 2000/XP) you can put this into a batch file: code: which will rename the file named skinname.wal to a file called skinname_xxxxx.wal, where xxxxx is a random number between 1 and 32768. If you use PKZIPC or some other command line zipping utility, you can package everything up and create a uniquely named wal file with a single click. (OK then, a double click. =) DJG |
