Help plz!

hey !! well i have a small problem....when i try to talk my on my radio...it works fine..but then the kbps goes from 96 to 24...and the quality sucks..so then i have to change the sets n reconnect onto my radio station..kicking everyone listening.....anyway i can keep it at 96 both times..or any other solutions....thanks
