Other Shoutcast Source

Hello,

sorry for posting again, but I have another short question.

Normally the Winamp DSP-plugin is used to send data to a shoutcast server.

Are there any other windows programs that can act as a source for a shoutcast server? Anything that doesn't use winamp...

If there was, this would also solve the problem I posted below...

Thanks,

Peter

or icecast

If only Winamp SC DSP plugin can send TO a shoutcast server
we could also send our data to an icecast server...

Are there any windows programs that can send to an icecast server? Where can I download the executable of such a program?

Thanks,

Peter

Correct, except for the fact that our radio wants to make TWO broadcasts at the same time!

(one broadcast sends live, the other one sends whatever is in the C:\my music directory)

Sorry for not making that clear, I'm not a native English speaker and thanks for your patience...

Greetz,

Peter

to better help you-why dont you first tell me why you cant use one computer to host-and 2 computers to send the broadcast?
I am asking this because this would be the logical solution to your problem.

I agree, that would be much easier. The problem is that these two servers don't belong to our studio; we were just granted the right to use them for streaming and we have no access to them. They will only forward what we send to them on port 8000.
As a matter of fact, they are a couple of miles away from our studio.

But your hint to copy winamp to a different directory seems to be useful. It doesn't work if I simply rename the winamp.exe to winamp2.exe; but I managed to install Winamp 2.8 and winamp 3 on the same PC. Fortunately winamp3 is no longer named winamp.exe but Studio.exe

Now I'll try to integrate oddcast DSP plugin in Wamp2.8.
(shoutcast plugin is installed with Wamp3)

I'll tell you if this works...
