Well, It looks like certain portions are colorised parts of the base skin. You wont get much for originality with it like that. Keep working on it, try some more customisation. It's not a bad start and is pretty good for a first skin.

Welcome to skin love (wa2 skins) brado.

Yeah, I agree with Atmo. Some parts look too much like the baseskin. Maybe you should go further with them.

It indeed looks rather basic.
BUT you did not use skinner, so you are on the right track.
try to do more customization (spelling?) and it will be really your own skin.

Try Ultimate Paint. All you need are MSpaint skills and to read the tips of the day - promise. Yet it is a much lesser pain in the arse than mspain. Download the shareware version and if you like it, let me know

I still think that paint shop pro can be as simple or as complicated as you'd like it to be. In fact its a helluva lot easier to learn than photoshop.

Best of all it's free...for 30 days.

I went from MSpain to UP, and now I'm going from UP to PSP, and trust me, it ain't that seamless a transition. It's a totally different system, and if you don't have the patience or desire to learn a totally different system, forget it.

Well, psp has all the basic tools that paint has, it just uses them better. It's not really necessary to learn layers when your starting, so it is only slightly more complicated than mspaint for simple drawing.

Of course theres a lot more underneath when it comes time to try new things.

well, I think you just got to evolve at your own speed, and not dive in to deep water when you cant swim> So when starting psp or ps, don't expect you are a pro in no time, you will find out thing along the way.

but they're organised differently, and you have to learn this. In general, PSP has a very different feel to it than mspain, even when dong rudimentary things. I've been using PSP for 4 skins now, and I still find myself going back to UP a grat deal, just because I'm much more fluent in it.

Well like i've always said, its important to feel comfortable with the program youre using. For skinning i only use psp and microangelo, but i sometimes have a stuff around with ps, gimp, photoimpact etc. I may even try learn how to use 3ds max before i make the big move to skinning wa3 exclusively.

And yes, i agree that psp has a different feel than mspaint, i got psp so i could make atmo amp, and learnt it from there, seemed a little strange for the first few days, but i soon got used to its functions...Layers were another thing completely and took a lot longer to learn.

lol...BACK ON TOPIC...
Mostly I think those white outlines have got to go. Possibly just continue your picture into those spots, then brighten or darken them a bit. Also, the textures (and the font) in the titlebars (where it says 'winamp,' 'equalizer,' etc.) don't fit well.
That's all I have to say...

Skinned entirely in MSPaint. Take that, skeptics. I think this example is a prime one. MSPaint is, I repeat, is capable of wonderful things. And if you don't think this is wonderful, I'll slap you with a carrot.
I love that. I figured that would be funny to post.
