We need a few free minds

I started this one, I really wanted to do a yoda with lightsaber skin, but I still can't find the right pics, so I started this one.
I know it's still way to early to really say anything, but before I get really into this, I just need to know
Do we really need another matrix skin? I know there are quite a lot of matrix skins out there already, a lot of good ones too. so am I just wasting my time or should I continue

Go for it.

Not as many matrix skins as there are generic metal skins out there, but that doesnt stop anyone.

I'd keep going and see what happens. I really like the background image.

That pic of Laurence Fishburne faded into the background looks really cool. Keep going.

I agree with what everyone else has said. Keep it going

Who cares if we need it, do you want to make it?

I think it looks good so far.

I don't like comics or comic-style drawing, so I don't like the picture. But despite that, I like the visual layout so far. (btw I know I loved RoseTattoo, which was a comic-based skin, but that was quite a different style of drawing)

Hmmm, I was going to see how many non-skinner.exe Matrix skins there were, but a winamp.com/skins search for "Matrix" yielded 293 matches

To answer your question: Honestly, with that many Matrix skins out there, there's no point making another Matrix skin if it's going to be ordinary. The public doesn't need it, and neither do you. So ask yourself, is this going to be a skin that will be good enough and/or different enough to be a worthwhile addition to a sea of 293 skins? By the looks of it so far, and by the looks of your last skin, I think yes.

I have to say, keep going. If the rest is as good as this, it will be the first pic skin I'll download.

isn't there going to be a couple of sequels coming soon?

if you could somehow make it more relevant to Matrix2 it might stand out from the crowd...for a little while at least.

technically, we don't need any skins. The world would revolve with just the base skin, right?

So go do what makes you happy! I like it so far, it's nifty.

yep two sequals coming up in 2003
matrix reloaded in the summer
and matrix revolutions in the winter

if it wasn't for the sequals I probably wouldn't have bothered, the background is actually the teaser poster for the sequals, and the comicimage of morpheus is also from one of the sequals

I just hope I can turn it into a skin that's worth the download, but after my last skin I'm a lot more confident in my skinning abilities

Quite a sig, dollerspark. Geez, lighten up. Here, have a look at this skin. It always gives me a chuckle. But then again, that might just be me.

We need skins! If we didn't have skins, then there wouldn't be a skin love forum, now would there?
