The skin is garanteed to work great when you see the words "Winamp3 Final" on the winamp.com front page.
Ok, sorry if i offended you.

Basically what i meant was that it isnt working with the current builds of wa3 (while other skins are), and to get it to maybe work requires a lot of stuffing around re-installing etc....

Perhaps it might have been better to delay the release until the final of wa3 is out to avoid confusion.

huh?
it should work first go on 478, 479, 480 and 481

it has and does for me

have you tried un-installing..
then deleting your winamp 3 directory(back up skins first)
then re-installing

No, my fault. I was too tired to give a good reply at the time.

I would delay the release until we have a stable build, but I am going on holiday soon, as almost certainly will a stable winamp3 build be released when I am away.

At the moment nothing. But in BOOM v1.1 it will be used to make the thinger window have multiple functions.

Love this skin! It's inventive, original, and, shows thinking outside of the box (which is even the way it starts up... unintentional pun?)

One problem I'm having with it, though. If I open the browser from Thinger, none of the links work. If I switch skins back to classic or default, the links don't work either, until I shut down and restart Winamp (481 build BTW.)

Any ideas?

It's most likely been answered in this thread somewhere else, but since my ADSL is so fu*ked up the maximum speed I can get both upload and download is 4K, I will post now because I can't wait all day to go through 5 pages.

I use this skin on RC2 and everytime a song switches, I get a little pop-up that delays the song from playing. It says: no mpeg header found ....then in the next boc after I click ok: ***kbps stereo 44.1kHz ....both windows with the title "DEB". How do I stop this from happening? It's only with this skin I get this message. Also, it says once in a while:

Assertion Failed
Expression: !within
File: C:\projects\studio\common\critsec.cpp
Line: 23

...again, this skin only....then it crashes whether I choose OK or Cancel.

....one last thing to Will: It's minimize, not minimise...or are you calling Microsoft crappy spellers?

Yeah, and I'm sure in Mexico it's something different, and in Italy too. I'm sure if we went to France most people wouldn't know what we were talking about.. Let's all just make up a language for use on the Winamp forums and maybe one day it will become the new world language... yeah.

I am from england. Therefore I have a right to spell minimise as minimise, as that is the correct english spelling. (NOT the correct american spelling, but why should I care about that, I'm neither from america, live in america nor educated in america). Understand?

Uhh, yeah. British English, as opposed to American English. And is that "arab" comment supposed to be some kind of racial slur?

well, I speak canadian english which is, YES, the same as british english (except for the accent) .....Office XP allows you to manipulate XP into different languages. This includes 3 different styles of enlish; american, canadian, and uk....in each of them, minimize appears as the proper spelling.

....but it doesn't matter....if you could just answer my question, I'd be very happy...

It just seems very, very out of place in a discussion about an audio player skin, and the _possible_ ENGLISH misspelling of a word in it. That's all.

StationLex: Boom is coded for the latest builds, try clean installing build 481 and checking if the error still occurs. If it doesn't and you aren't using 481 for some other reason (like the open files bug), you'll have to wait until another build fixes those problems. If it does occur, then post the error (again), so the developers and skinners can check it out, please.

Its a winamp3 bug. As are ALL the bugs people are telling me about.

The ninth edition of the Consise Oxford English Dictionary says on page 866:
Minimize v. (also -ise) reduce to, or estimate at, the smallest possible amount or degree

Therefore, (note the bold bit) minimise is a valid spelling. And it shall remain so.

I did a clean install of 381 - I got the "open files" bug and other types of crashes

The skin itself is really cool! and the functionality is just unique! "one of a kind" skin for sure! BUT I want it to be able to keep it running for more than half a song!
