I've uploaded my new skin, seems it might take some time to publish it, my last published skin was almost a year and a half ago, back when we only had about half the skins that we do now.

I worked really hard on the sucker, spent alot of time deciding how exactly to do it. I hope you all like it. For now, you can get it at www.1001winampskins.com in the GAMES section

All components are skinned on it, including the WVS, the easter egg, and the cursors.

I'm crossing my fingers on it being published here sometime this month.

Wasn't it Bizzy D. who made an Xbox amp for WA3 and had to kill it for that very reason?

I finally got Atmo's link to load (slow connection this morning) and Bizzy's amp looked just like the one shown on that page, but it was done a lot earlier than June 17th. Hmm, I'm confused.

it appears that theskinsfactory made the official xbox skin, and they copyrighted it all (AFAIK) you will need to contact them for details and a request for your skin to be published. Please put the note (if any) of them saying "yeah, go on" into the readme, complete with header to avoid any nasty legalities.

I'm not sure if the copyright-ing was for just that skin which Bizzy riped, better off asking than being sorry a few weeks down the line...

I am fairly certain that fair use and copyright infringment won't be an issue with my skin. Consider that an extreme amount of Corporate logos and products are used in ampskins on winamp.com.

Secondly, unlike other who ripped actual in-game screenshots and such, I happen to have created my content pixel by pixel.

I mean, come on, Andy Warhol wasn't sued by Campbells Soup for heavens sake.

it is a copyright violation. it will be an issue if microsoft or nullsoft decides it is.

btw- if bizzy made the skin i think you're talking about, it wasn't that he had to get permission from the skins factory to use the x box logo, it was that he was converting their skin from wmp to winamp. and i believe they told him its not up to us, its up to microsoft. they own the skin and the logo.

I updated the xbox masteramp, link located above. I cleaned up a few problems and also added support for that Mikro Amp Plug in. ie I skinned the mikroamp.
