Right-Click menu

I thought for sure I would find something on this, but I searched and no dice...

Am I the only one who liked to right-click my music folders and choose "play in winamp", or "enque in winamp"? That was my preferred way of launching prior to winamp3, but I guess maybe the thinking is the playlist makes that obsolete? I still miss it, tho!

If the Winamp crew could put this function to
Wa3 I'd be very happy. IMO it's faster and easier way
to listen specific albums and such.

apart from the simple shell extensions, this program is perfect for me. This is a big enough of a deal for me that I will continue to use 2.8 with the nicemc plugin for video support until the next version comes out. Hopefully it will be included.

Want a temporary fix for this? I created an application to get around this problem. Download http://www.jagtechnical.com/wa3/fldrplay.zip, unzip to your wa3 directory and run fldrplay.exe. The context menus for play in winamp and enqueue in winamp will now work for folders. Let me know if you have any problems...

Maybe you should use Regedit to make the freakin menus...

The problem isn't the 'freakin menus', but that WA3 hasn't implemented playing folders or recursion.

You're very clever, and guess what, I've just tried this myself.
(_Before_ reading your post.) NO WAY DUDE.

You *cannot* use the old /ADD option also for folders like you could in Winamp 2.
If you do this, the following happens: folders are added into the playlist as if they were MP3s! Quite surprising however that you won't hear anything, huh...

So the llama has prevented us from playing a trick on it in WA 3.

Whip it all you want, he likes it. As mentioned in other threads, this feature is already implemented for the next version of wa3.
